I feel like both Sonic and Knuckles would find the idea of marriage pretty pointless, and are comfortable enough already just being together without making anything “official”. Besides, Sonic has plenty of rings and Knuckles doesn’t need anymore jewels to take care of!

Also, Sonic's "No way!" is absolutely a reference to "Marriage?! No way!" from Sonic Heroes.
