anyone remember Shade? she was one of my absolute favorite Sonic characters when I was little. I always thought her relationship with Knuckles was so sweet <3

for some years in the middle there after Chronicles was de-canonized, it was my headcanon that some version of the story still took place, and Shade was just out traveling the world trying to find a way to bring her people back and that's why she didn't appear in later games. it doesn't mesh with current canon, but world traveler Shade who drops by Angel Island sometimes to hang with Knuckles is still dear to me. maybe it's set later, post-canon, or something x)
