Story time:
For the majority of my childhood I thought Tails was a girl, it was only when I was presented to the Sonic X cartoon back in 2005-6 that I discovered this wasn't the case, (this was despite the fact that I had played both Sonic Adventure and several other Sonic games until then).
Up to that point I had always drawn him in cute little dresses and stuff, and I remember being a little heartbroken when I found out that he was, in fact, a boy; and boys don't wear dresses. So that automatically meant that I couldn't draw him in a dress ever again. Right? Wrong.
12 years later I found my old sketchbooks and rediscovered my eight year old self's obsession for girlie Tails. And it had me thinking: "Why did I ever stop drawing him like that? He looked so adorable as he stood there in his badly drawn polka spotted disaster of a dress."
So, on this day in 2017 I am officially redeeming my eight year old self by picking up where she left off, and by that simultaniously also giving social norms the middle finger, by proudly presenting to you……. Tails in a dress. Take that world!
On a side note: My hand is slowly getting better, and even though I try my best not to overuse or strain it, it still has a tendency to randomly hurt sometimes. I suppose it's part of the healing process, but playing the waiting game like this is slowly killing me inside.
Even finishing this sketch had to be divided between four days, because I constanlty had to stop before my hand would start acting up again. All I can hope for is that it get's better for Christmas :crossfingers: revision
