This is one of the main characters of an alternate Sonic universe in which several of the characters are female, rather than the original male designs. I have not written any fanfiction to this end, though I may in the future, before someone else decides to. I consider this project a series of redesigns, rather than fan characters, so the last thing I need is some shoddy fanfiction out there promoting them…

How she isn't Sonic: Sonya does not dislike water, though it does slow her down. Her gymnastic skill is a bit higher than Sonic's, but her attack power is slightly lower as well.

The colored version seemed to come out great. The scanner tends to throw off the color a tiny bit, but it looks basically as I intended it. Like the rest of the Color pieces in this project, I duplicated Phill's line art, touched up the inking (except for one coming up where I completely inked it myself), and colored with colored pencils.

I'm also fully aware that there is little or no shading, which is mostly because I'm a perfectionist. There's no way I'm getting Sonic Adventure style shading and lighting out of Crayola colored pencils. Maybe someday we'll digitally color them, but I wouldn't like to abandon the traditional methods even then.
