original description

I got the idea for this poster kind of randomly, and knocked it out in about 3 days time. I really wanted to do another poster where I played with the different Dark lighting/contrast, and I think this one turned out really well. It definitely has a different mood and tone to it than my other usual, bright Sonic artwork. on a funny side note, all these years I have been playing Sonic 2, I never realized those Blue platforms you run on in the chemical plant are actually Tubes carrying chemicals! that being said, I added a cool little bubble effect brush on the tubes to show there's liquids moving through there. and I also couldn't help but add in the Death Egg hovering ominously in the background almost eclipsing the moon! (on a side note I did reference the Pose of Sonic from another piece of artwork but I did not have the artist's name! I would like to give credit if anyone recognizes it and possibly knows. I drew him in a similar pose, but my end drawing looks pretty different with lighting and a few subtle tweaks to costume and pose) so what do you guys think?
