But within the clash something strange happened, as the energy from the Master Emerald, caused the creation of duplicates. But these duplicates were quite the opposite to the original. Sonic's duplicate is Scourge the Hedgehog, an evil speedster, who does anything to one up everyone else and show who is the boss. One of those actions he did right away after being created, as he tried to absorb energy from the Master Emerald, what it did instead was invert his eye and fur colors… Little annoyed by this, and not knowing what else to do, Scourge took the other duplicates and took them somewhere else. Where he met Fiona Fox, who quickly became Scourge right hand assistant and girlfriend, thanks to her handy little Power Pattern Canceling device. And now with his own team, Scourge has big plans for Mobius.
